A draftsman, printer and photoengraver by training, Jacques Michot is passionate about art. His many artistic qualities are expressed in the service of his passion: eye to choose colors always oriented towards beauty and excellence, hand to retouch negatives of photos, mind always alert to imagine the best adapted techniques, pugnacity to work his art tirelessly.
After many years devoted to the production of postage stamps, to art publishing as a technical advisor, printer, photoengraver, at the dawn of his retirement, he founded the company "SEPIA Art & Cartography" with his wife Léone and some friends to create beautiful works of art in printing.
Thus, Jacques Legrand is not mistaken when he jointly publishes with Jacques Michot "The Atlas of the Grands Vignobles de Bourgogne". He knows his qualities perfectly.
This work gave birth to the two maps "Côte de Nuits" and "Côte de Beaune". In the new edition of the Atlas, the new editors recognise in Jacques Michot, "this tireless perfectionist to whom we owe the rigor and artistic beauty of these maps".
